This workshop will examine the ancient Hebrew understanding of the world (cosmology) and how the imagery from this understanding provides a background for a better understanding of the Bible. We will seek to find answers to such questions as: Why was there a talking serpent in the Garden of Eden? Why is Satan called a “dragon”? Why did Jesus walk on water (couldn’t he have swam, flown, or just appeared)? What were the tower of Babel and Jacob’s ladder? Why will there be no sea in the New Heavens and New Earth? These and other intriguing Bible questions will be explored in this workshop.
