The Western region, made up by fifty-eight congregations in eleven states, is the largest US region – extending from southern to northern boarders, and including Alaska and Hawaii. It is also the most diverse…not only in climate and geography, but also culturally and ethnically. While many GCI congregations are scattered throughout the region, the highest density are to be found along the Interstate 5 corridor. Yet despite the distances between churches, and the sometimes unique ethnic and language differences from congregation to congregation, that strong sense of identity that we each find in Christ provides a strong sense of unity, in spite of language, culture and distance. The Western region is made up of the following states: Montana, Washington, Wyoming, Oregon, Utah, California, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii
